 This must be the first new product in the lineup of tata motors in 2021 after altroz turbo but today we are here giving you the basic and latest updates on the another upcoming launch by tata that is expected to be launched later this year , HBX or Hornbill.

So, The spyshots of tata hbx getting tested on the roads is no longer secret in the internet. The pictures micro suv getting tested in different terrains (Cities,hills..) is all over the internet . From the spyshots it is clearly observed that the basic shape and stylings (headlights and tail lights) is ditto to the one car which we saw in the autoexpo 2020 with different tire size obviously. see spyshots of tata HBX- click here

Engine specs 

The upcoming HBX will surely be coming with the well known Tata's 1200cc 3 cyl. Revotron engine which we see in tiago , tigor , altroz and even with altroz turbo and nexon too (turbo powered). The chances of getting a turbo petrol or a diesel engine in HBX is not positive as of now.

Features

Since the car is going to based on same platform as tata atroz , there will be a lot of sharing in terms of features beween the tata siblings including the 90 degree door opening , floating touch screen infotainment system , half digital and half analog instrument cluster and a lot more to be unveiled. On outside, The split headlight and DRLs setup like the harrier , the front up gloss black finished closed radiator grille and tail lights like nexon and much more.

Future rivals

Ignis and Kuv100 are the only rivals available for tata Hbx currently and both of them contributes just minor difference on the sales chart of maruti suzuki and mahindra respectively.

The ignis gets 4cyl. 1.2 litre engine 

and kuv 100 comes with 1.2 litre 3cyl

engine so, as of now (incl. Hbx) the 

only car with 4 cyl. engine is just 

going to ignis. But the biggest surprise however came from hyundai, when out of no where their own micro suv spotted testing in camouflage. The car looked liked mini venue from different angles and it will be hyundai's entrance in the micro suv segment. Not much is known about this hyundai prototype car as of now.

Prices and launch dates 

of Hbx

Since tata Hbx is going to be a suv 

inspired suv at the end of day, so its 

prices will be set accordingly. The car

is expected to be launched with same

pricings as tiago and ignis (5.5-7.5 

lacs approx) and as far as the dates 

are concerned, the new rhino inspired

Hbx was expected to get launced at 

start of 2021 but because of Covid19

the launch is delayed. Now we are 

expecting the launch on 3rd quarter 

of 2021 because other cars from tata

may launch before Hbx like tata hexa and altroz amt.
